What a week! We’re digging out from a foot of fresh snow in downtown Louisville; our thoughts are with all those hit by the storm, especially the areas where snowfall was close to two feet!

Healthcare Finance News kicked off March with a recap of recent top-of-mind topics. The list includes stories about the importance of financial planning for the long term, tips for managing hospital-acquired medical practices, and explores why physicians should support the move to ICD-10.
Health Data Management reported on a coalition led by the American Medical Association that is calling for ICD-10 transition contingency plans. In a letter to CMS, the coalition urged the department to develop and distribute contingency plans designed to mitigate any potential negative impact of the transition.
