A healthcare tech company officially opened its Chicago office last week, and it plans to bring 200 new jobs with it.
Louisville, Kentucky-based ZirMed, provider of cloud-based financial and clinical performance management solutions for healthcare organizations, cut the ribbon on its 111 N. Canal St. office last Friday. The company first announced the move back in October, shortly after it acquired Chicago-based healthcare analytics firm MethodCare.
ZirMed plans to hire an additional 200 healthcare technologists at the office, which the company calls its Healthcare Analytics Center of Excellence. ZirMed chose Chicago for its third office for the city’s access to talent at Northwestern, University of Chicago, University of Illinois, and DePaul University, the company said in a news release. The company also has an office in Santa Monica.
“ZirMed is excited to open our new Healthcare Analytics Center of Excellence in Chicago to continue to develop the latest advanced technologies to help healthcare providers achieve operational and clinical excellence,” ZirMed CEO Tom Butts said in a statement. “Chicago is primed for recruiting and retaining top technology talent in part because of its world-renowned universities, research institutions, and top-notch health systems.”
